Описание: It's been a while since I did a Remembrance Day tribute, and this year I wanted to specifically do a World War 1 tribute. I recently watched They Shall Not Grow Old, an amazing documentary film by Peter Jackson where he restored and colourized a bunch of old WW1 footage, which is where I pulled most of the clips from. It's an brilliant and hard hitting documentary and I highly highly HIGHLY recommend that everyone watch it.

I always wanted to give a huge shoutout to Alex Paradise, whom I sourced the black and white clips from. He did a 30 minute video of footage from the Battle of the Somme where he painstakingly stabilized and speed corrected the footage. I mirrored all the footage in the hopes that YouTube wont take down my video as I did work quite hard on it, so if any of the footage looks off, that's probably why.

The song is The Last Goodbye originally sung by Billy Boyd, from The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. I thought it was quite fitting lyrically, and also the fact that it's from a Peter Jackson film as well. I added my own harmonies to make the song a little more personalized to me.
