A while back, I started a YouTube channel to share all the overly-detailed, spreadsheet-fueled vacation planning tips I’d collected from taking my family to Disney World and Universal. And for a while, it actually felt like I was onto something. People watched. Some even said it helped them. One of my shorts even went a little viral (yes, the one about people pooping in ride lines).
But I don’t live anywhere near Florida. I had one week of footage a year and about 51 weeks of trying to fill the gap. Eventually, I ran out of steam. I couldn’t keep up with the full-time Orlando locals cranking out daily content. And honestly? I didn’t want to.
So… was it all a waste?
That’s what I unpack in this video. It’s about creating something you care about, watching it fizzle, and deciding to walk away anyway, without beating yourself up for it. If you’ve ever felt burned out or wondered whether it’s okay to let go of something that no longer fits, you're not alone.
