Lahinch Golf Club is one of my favorite courses from this trip and in all of Ireland. The course has a distinctive Irish personality to its design. The Course was designed by some of the greats, (Old Tom Morris, Alister MacKenzie with a redesign, and Martin Hawtree with a renovation. Lahinch is uniquely enchanting with one of the more creative layouts I have seen. I played Lahinch several times on indoor simulators and felt the course could not live up to the simulator's images or some of the reviews. However, Lahinch is much better than the hype. The course is rugged and requires the best from your game. Like Royal County Down, a caddy is definitely needed to help navigate the course with its several blind shots into fairways and greens. It gets your adrenaline going. In my opinion, few courses can execute having as many blind shots as Lahinch and maintain fairness to first-time players. I found Lahinch to be fair and fun. It has the personality of Ireland and is unique, inviting, and a course golfers would want to play again. It has The Boss Golfs’ strong recommendation.
