This tune was written for Advent 2019 at First Baptist Church of Muncie, IN and this solo piano version was crafted to provide simple music for meditation.

lyrics: I’ll remember you when I pray
May God’s gift grow stronger in you.
As we live as deeply loved children each day
May God’s gift grow stronger in you.
God’s gift is not a spirit of fear
but of power, love, and sound mind.
Let us wait for hope, peace, joy, and love
May God’s gift grow stronger in you.

Week one: We will watch for the promised morning
when we’ll see the dawn of God’s light.
The gift of God through Jesus is hope:
good tidings, freedom, no more night!

Week two: We all long for the end of wartime
when the lion with lamb safely dwells.
The gift of God through Jesus is peace:
God’s wholeness, shalom, all is well.

Week three: We may weep as we wait for You, God.
But we’ll sing when harvest comes in.
The gift of God through Jesus is joy
You’ve freed us from all of our sin!

Week four: Before time had begun, God knew us
And with Christ we learn to forgive
The gift of God through Jesus is love
Through Him now we can truly live!
