This video looks at a BMW tailgate problem that can take hours of diagnostic time if tested incorrectly.
⚠️ Key Lesson: Always test components under the same conditions in which the fault was observed. Measuring or testing in other circumstances can mask the real problem and lead to misdiagnosis.
Symptoms shown in this case:
-Tailgate does not fully close
-Soft close function fails
-Interior release switch stops working
-No fault codes stored
-Works only once after a battery reset (weird symptom)

-3-Series Touring (F31) 2012–2019
-5-Series (F10/F11) 2010–2017
-5-Series Gran Turismo (F07) 2009–2017
-X5 (F15/F85) 2013–2018
