Vojtěch Havel - musical composer, violoncello, viola da gamba and piano player - is part of the musical and married couple Irena and Vojtěch Havlovi / The Havels. He also plays his solo compositions and improvisations. In this film he is improvising for solo violoncello. He collaborated on many albums with musicians from the fields of jazz, ambient and contemporary music, and old Renaissance and Baroque music (Jiří Stivín, Martin Kratochvíl, Tony Ackermann, Alan Vitous, Iva Bittová, Michal Pavlíček, Vladimír Merta, Zuzana Homolová, Bryce Dessner and Clogs, etc).He was a member of various musical ensembles - e.g. Agon, Trijo, Capella Antiqua e Moderna, Musica Antiqua Praha, Pro Arte Antiqua, Hokr and others. Together with his wife Irena, they compose music for films, theater and dance performances, and are also engaged in free improvisation with musicians, dancers and theater artists around the world. This improvisation was filmed in Prague in the Atrium hall, where Irena and Vojtech often give concerts.
