The Se Catedral Church
The Se Cathedral wast built to commemorate the victory of Afonso Albuquerque, which was won on the feast of St. Catherine of Alexandria, this edifice is the largest church in Asia.
Basilica of Bom Jesus Church
Basilica of Bom Jesus is a big and one of the oldest church in India which was constructed during the Portuguese rule in Goa. Bom Jesus means good Jesus or infant Jesus and the church is dedicated to him.
Church of St. Francis of Assisi
The Church of St. Francis of Assisi, together with a convent, was established by eight Portuguese Franciscan friars who landed in Goa in 1517.
The Chapel of St. Catherine
It was built in 1510 in the Baroque architectural style, and has a brown and white facade.
St. Cajetan Church
The Church of Divine Providence, is a church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Goa and Daman located in Old Goa
Santa Monica Church
St. Monica who was the mother of St. Augustine. In the olden days, there was enough of space to accommodate almost 300 people. The convent not only served as a sanctuary for nuns. Widows wanting to dedicate themselves to God were welcome as were women whose husbands were travelling on expeditions or were part of the armed forces.
Royal Chapel of St Anthony
The Royal Chapel of St. Anthony was built in the 17th century. This is situated opposite the ruins of the Church of St. Augustine and south of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary.
Ruins of St Augustine Church
The church was abandoned in 1835 after the Portuguese government of Goa began evicting many religious orders in Goa under its new repressive policies.
