These Thandai Cookies are eggless Indian shortbread cookies made with flour, powdered sugar, ghee, and flavoured with instant thandai powder. They are nutty, flavourful and middle sweet. Pair these cookies with masala chai for tea time or serve alongside your favourite ice cream for a wonderful holi dessert.
Instant Thandai Masala -
Ingredients :
Almonds - 3/4 cup
Cashew - 3/4 cup
Pistachio - 1/4 cup
Melon seeds - 2 tbsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tbsp
Poppy seeds - 2 tbsp
Green cardamom - 12-15
Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Dry rose petals - 3 tbsp
Pinch of nutmeg powder
Pinch of Cinnamon powder
Generous pinch of saffron
Method:
Add all the ingredients of the thandai masala into a mixer grinder jar & grind it into a powder using pulse mode, do not keep the grinder on for a longer period of time or else the nuts & the spices will release their oils.
Your instant thandai masala is ready.
Thandai Cookies
INGREDIENTS:
Ghee- 2 tbsp.
Powdered Sugar- 1/4 cup.
All Purpose Flour- 1 cup.
Baking Powder- 1/2 tsp.
Pinch of Salt.
Instant Thandai Masala- 1/4 cup.
Milk- 1/3 cup.
Melted Chocolate
