67.79 Crore Police Quarters Project in Belagavi; Foundation Laid for New Housing Initiative

Описание: In a major boost to police welfare, the government has initiated the construction of police quarters worth ₹67.79 crore in Belagavi. The foundation stone for a new housing project in Shahapur was also laid as part of the initiative.

The Home Minister stated that each house will be built at a cost of around ₹38 lakh, ensuring modern and comfortable living conditions for police personnel and their families. He emphasized that better housing will help officers work with peace of mind and greater efficiency.

Recalling his earlier visit to the district police headquarters, he mentioned that concerns raised by police families regarding poor living conditions were taken seriously, leading to this project.

The government has also allocated significant funds in recent years for police housing and infrastructure, aiming to strengthen the department. The minister praised Karnataka Police for their performance, stating that they ranked among the best in delivering justice in the country.

He added that police stations are becoming more high-tech and citizen-friendly, and reiterated the government’s commitment to providing all necessary facilities to the force.
