The virtual driving tour of Wilshire Boulevard starts at Wilshire One building and runs towards the city of Santa Monica on the Pacific Coast. The drive finishes in Westwood - the location of UCLA.
• Wilshire Boulevard is one of the main streets of Los Angeles and got its name from a man named Henry Gaylord Wilshire an entrepreneur and a socialist; he was a publisher, a frequent candidate for public office, a friend to George Bernard Shaw. Wilshire was considered a "millionaire socialist."
• Wilshire Boulevard is famous for its architecture - many of the post-1956 skyscrapers in Los Angeles are located along Wilshire; for example, the Wilshire Grand Center, which is the tallest building in California, is located on the Figueroa and Wilshire intersection.
• Miracle Mile with Museum Row are located along Wilshire Boulevard as well. There are such museums as LACMA, Petersen Automotive Museum, La Brea Tar Pits and Museum, Academy Museum of Motion Pictures among others.
• Wilshire Boulevard runs through Beverly Hills, Los Angeles Country Club, Westwood.
