Описание: This video in to help anyone who may have a dead e55 Bmw X5 with a broken lock cylinder. The SUV/Truck has been sitting for the last month. When I was ready to get started working on it, the key would turn effortlessly with no resistance. It would not lock or unlock the X5 with the physical key. To add on to that, the battery was dead so the key fob to use the keyless entry was useless. This was the only way I was able to think of to get the X5 open without having to call a locksmith of some sort. And from what I have read, not all are able to unlock it. This isn't something you can do on the side of the road with a quickness. But if it’s in a safe place with the available tools and resources it can be done. Hopefully this can help some of you. Not sure if this works for the other engine sizes and trims. 1. Jack the X5 from the middle jacking point from the front. Remove the 6, 17mm lug studs (at least for this 4.6 IS model) 2. Remove the wheel. 3. Remove the 6 or so rivet style body clips on the wheel arch. 4. I don't remember the exact number, however remove all the 8mm screws that hold the fender liner. Remove as much as you can to give you room to pull the fender liner to the left. We need access to the right side which is covered by the fender line. 5. Follow the black wire loom that covers the red jump lead to the right of the X5 you will see a black rubber grommet pull that back. 6. Attach one end of your jumper cables to the end of the jump lead on the X5 by the fire wall. 7. Attach the ground to the strut assembly bolt. 8. Last find a jump car and give it power and you will be able to unlock and start the car!
