In this first video of the Ferrari F355 major service series, we get up close with a rare 1995 Ferrari F355 Challenge clone, a car that has spent most of its life on the track and isn’t dressed up to look the part — it is the part. Finished in dark green metallic with period-correct white Challenge Speedline wheels, Challenge brakes, suspension, rear wing, bumpers, and a roll bar.

This car has come a long way for its service. It was shipped all the way from Houston to Seattle just to be serviced and documented on the channel.

I start with a test drive to see how it behaves on the road and then bring it into the shop to share what I discovered during my inspection. Along the way, I compare this 1995 OBD1/ME2.7 F355 to the 1999 OBD2/ME5.2 F355 I worked on previously, highlighting the key differences in electronics, engine management, and drivetrain. From there, I begin removing the engine and drivetrain, giving updates as the process unfolds, then dive into clutch inspection to figure out why it was slipping on the test drive, start engine disassembly, and complete a leak-down test to see what’s happening inside.

This video is a rare, detailed look at what it really takes to service a Ferrari F355, giving insight into track-driven cars, proper maintenance, and the level of care required to keep these incredible machines reliable, safe, and performing at their best.
