Sales of Palestinian scarves or keffiyehs have jumped in the US since Israel launched its military offensive in Gaza in early October.
A growing number of Americans and people around the world are donning the checkered scarf to protest against the war, demand a ceasefire and signal support for Palestinians.
But some of those who choose to wear it have faced verbal and physical attacks - even shootings.
