Kamado Joe Review Part 4: Whole Roasted Chicken

Описание: As we continue with our ongoing review of the Kamado Joe Classic grill, today I decided to roast a whole chicken. This is a fairly easy and quick cook and the Kamado Joe handled it very well. I'm still learning how to get perfect skin on a grilled chicken and I'm getting closer with each attempt. On this cook, I unwrapped the chicken the night before the cook, rinsed it off, patted it dry, and set it uncovered in the refrigerator for 14 hours to help dry out the skin. That did make a difference in the final result. The skin was probably the best I have had so far and I cooked at approximately 375°. I believe my next trial on this process will be at 400° or maybe 410°. I don't want to overcook the skin, so I'm taking a step-by-step approach to finding the right combination of prep and cooking temperatures.
