While staying in the local area near this beach, I would frequently get up early and walk the dog on the beach during the early morning sunrises. I was hoping for more high-altitude clouds to help the colours of the sunrise really pop, but on this morning, the sky was incredibly clear. A lot of dog walkers are on this beach in the early morning, so across the soundscape, there are moments of distant (and sometimes close-by) dog barking as dogs chase sea birds and play in the waves. A few months ago, this area of New South Wales experienced a big cyclone. You can see the damage this has caused on the shoreline, with the whole beach now having a steep sand edge bordering it and many fallen trees.
