VENICE BEACH – On Monday, December 26, 2022, Venice Beach healer Daisy, also known as Wa, was seen performing a healing treatment for a visitor along the boardwalk. Known for her unconventional approach to wellness, Wa shared her personal transformation from a past life of dominance to one rooted in healing, love, and self-awareness.
Wa described her "superhero origin story," explaining that her journey began with a simple realization—looking at her hands and setting an intention to "love and heal." This guiding principle, she said, reshaped her entire approach to touch, movement, and human connection.
Once working as a dominatrix, Wa said she discovered healing through the same physical touch that once carried an element of control. "I realized it wasn't hate, it was fear," she said, explaining that her transformation allowed her to see others as reflections of herself.
Her practice, which she refers to as "Flow Strokes," incorporates breathwork, movement, and body awareness. Inspired by nature, she developed five core practices—self-love, continuous movement, playfulness, intention, and the belief that all beings share the same spirit.
Wa’s unconventional lifestyle extends beyond healing. She lives nomadically along the border of Venice and Santa Monica, in an area she calls "No Man’s Land," where she builds community gardens and advocates for a more symbiotic relationship with the earth.
Despite her alternative approach, she insists her methods are rooted in science, energy work, and human psychology. "We need to honor our nervous systems, move with intention, and allow healing to happen through connection," she said.
At the end of the session, Wa reminded onlookers that her work isn’t about money, but rather about spreading a message of love and interdependence. "I don’t want payment," she said. "Go plant something I can eat."
Her presence at Venice Beach has made her a fixture in the community, where she continues to share her philosophy of healing, movement, and radical self-expression.
