Lourmarin (south of the Vaucluse department) is one of the most beautiful villages in Provence. Located in the middle of vineyards, olive groves and almond trees in the southern part of the Luberon Park.

The population of the commune in 2010 was 1005 people.

Attractions:
-Chateau de Lourmarin is a castle founded in the 15th century, remodeled and expanded several times.
-Chateau de Corre is a castle founded in the 17th century, a park with pools and fountains.
-Church of Saint-Trophisme-Saint-André
-Protestant temple
-Former windmill
-The cemetery where the graves of the writer and philosopher Albert Camus, the writer Henri Bosco and others are located.

Here you can see the Château de Lourmarin (Lourmarin Palace). This is the first castle in Provence built in the Renaissance style.

For generations, Lourmarin has served as a refuge for artists, writers and poets. In the village cemetery, under a modest stone, lies the writer Albert Camus. Famous British writer Peter Mayle lives here. His book was adapted into the film A Good Year (2006) starring Russell Crowe. The film was filmed in the town of Gordes, which is located near Lourmarin.

Lourmarin is a very small village. Walk along it and you will see not only the sights, but also all the charm of Provence.
