Volantex MustangV1, V2 compare - my favourite one crashes!

Описание: The Version 1 (V1) of the 400mm Mustang was the first of these planes and is an immaculate flyer in any mode for its size. The V2 has just come out and so I compare. I thought the V2 would be as good in flight as the V1 but this is not the case with mine. The V1 is outstanding, even in expert mode. The V2 is all over the place.

The air intake under the V1 is open, whereas it is closed off on the V2, perhaps this make a difference in performance? The V2 does have a clear canopy though, and a bigger battery at 500mAh compared to 400 mAh (although I didn't really notice in flight other than the physically larger battery is harder to fit in. The V2 comes with a four blade prop as per the real planes, so that is nice for display. Personally I have found no flight performance variation to speak of between the 2 and 4 bladed props myself.

Overall I'd get a V1 first. Even on this video I managed to damage it but it got up, dusted itself down, let me glue it, and was airborne again. Twice this week that nose split. Twice it survived. One more flight and it reaches 40 flights. Still looks new but I do touch up the paint.

Weight? V1 47g, V2 54g, then you have to add the 10g power pack. This could also make a difference in flight. My pilot added nothing measurable.
