Tour our Amish built chicken coop. The coop itself is 5'x8'. The "feed" area is 3'x5'. That is a nice feature and I'm glad I decided to add it. Makes storage of all chicken related items easy! We had some features added that were not included in this design, wire on windows and the extra door. Allows ventilation and keeps them out of the feed room.
We have 10 chickens, they are all Red Star (red sex-link) even though they all have different colorings. At this time they are 23 weeks old and we have 7 laying so far.
I only feed my chickens organic feed, so our eggs should be extra good for you!
I've never had chickens before so this is a learning experience for us.
