Almost 95 years old, the Town Hall Grand Organ was refurbished in 2001 and now contains drums, bells and almost eight thousand pipes over three levels.


Spend the night celebrating your favourite instruments with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, presenters Jeremy Fernandez, Zan Rowe, and ABC Classic’s Genevieve Lang and special guests.

This year’s theme is ‘Your Favourite Instrument' and for the very first time, experience highlights from the countdown live with this special Melbourne Symphony Orchestra performance.
