The relation between uniformly distributed load, shear force and bending moment can be used to develop shear force and bending moment diagrams. The method is different to the procedure of obtaining algebraic expression at sections for portions in the beam with the same pattern of loading. It involves finding out area in loading and shear force diagrams to plot shear force and bending moment diagrams. Examples using this method are given.
