HOW TO PAINT WILD TURKEYS IN OILS- with Suzanne Barrett Jusits
Perhaps I was inspired by last weeks Thanksgiving dinner (and all the leftovers) but today's Step by step, oil painting tutorial is of wild turkey. Let me take you, step by step to paint realistic turkey. We will paint both a hen and a tom with all their brilliant color. I kept this painting a little more intimate in that I only painted their faces. You will learn how to stack color to paint feathers. I will show you how to create the form of the neck and head and paint the waddles too. I will go over the palette for this painting, show you what brushes I am using, describe my painting techniques and take you from start to finish on the painting of the wild turkey pair
This Painting tutorial is easy enough to follow for even the beginner painter. Follow or paint along and learn my painting process of this original artwork. Whether you are a recreation painting enthusiast or an astute painting pupil, you should find this video extremely helpful and informative. Please feel free to ask any questions and leave them in the comment section and know I will get to the promptly. Please consider subscribing to my channel and showing some love with a thumbs up for the video.

one of the brush I used for the most was a Synthetic Shiraz pointed round or rigger, as well as two filberts, the number 5 and 8, I will also leave you the link to the brush here. It is a very versatile brush, and you can see that if was able to do everything I asked of it in this painting tutorial

I also used several of the Eclipse long Filberts of various sizes, you can find them here

and Ivory long filberts, my " work horse brush" I love them.
