Mahmoud, a skilled guide with a deep love for Iran’s nature and culture, has decided to introduce them to the architectural beauty and the authenticity of the city’s people. From the very moment they arrived, the grandeur of the stone bridges over the Zayandeh River and the turquoise domes of Isfahan’s mosques captivated everyone’s hearts. Early in the morning, they visited Naqsh-e Jahan Square — a place where the sound of horse hooves pulling carriages blended with the chatter of tourists. Fariba and her grandmother, with smiles lighting up their faces, sat in a beautiful carriage and rode the path between the Ali Qapu Palace and Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque. The cool autumn breeze danced through the air, mingling with the jingling of horses’ bells and the sweet aroma of fresh bread and Isfahan’s famous gaz wafting from nearby shops. Afterward, the family went to the traditional bazaar of Isfahan to buy souvenirs. The colors and delicate patterns of handicrafts — from enamel work and marquetry to copper engravings — were all dazzling and mesmerizing. With great patience, Mahmoud explained the history behind each art form to Fariba, while grandmother, with her trembling hands, bought a beautiful turquoise rosary as a keepsake of this unforgettable day.
