It's hard getting into college when you come from an underrepresented background. If you grew up below the poverty line, if you are the only person in your family to attend college, if you're one of few minorities in your college class- it's hard to get accepted.
But what happens when you already are accepted? Does it get easier?
In this video, I recount some of the things that I felt made it challenging for me as a poor, minority student in college, graduate school, and medical school. Everything is not always as 'equal' as it seems after you get admitted.
