Educational Pre-Concert Lecture, Biography, Music History:
Kara Dahl Russell presents a biographical "Pre-Concert Lecture" on the life of Charles Ives, and his "The Unanswered Question" (pub. 1946). This is a very good introduction to the more experimental works of Ives, as it challenging, but brief. It is also informative about works of his contemporaries and contemporary works, many of which are mentioned in this video.
