'Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery' Premieres at Austin Film Festival

Описание: This weekend, the 32nd Annual Austin Film Festival has taken the city by storm full of filmmakers, screen writers, insightful panels, and stellar screenings.

The third film in Rian Johnson's 'Knives Out' series 'Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery' premiered in Austin on October 24th ahead of its worldwide Netflix release next month.

Studio 512's Blake Haynes spoke with director and writer Rian Johnson on the red carpet about the creation of the popular film series and if there is more to come.

Johnson spoke about how much of an influence Agatha Christie was on him as a young writer and how it always intrigued him the way she wrote her books. He said he never expected 'Knives Out' to become as popular as it is. Johnson confirms that Craig was not necessarily always the person in mind for the character "Benoit Blanc" but was ecstatic when he signed on. He closed by saying he truly hopes that are more adventures with Benoit Blanc and Knives Out in the future.

'Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery' features an ensemble cast including Josh O' Connor, Josh Brolin, Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, of course Daniel Craig and more.

The film will be released in select theaters on November 26th before landing on Netflix on December 12th.
