Sometimes simple is plenty. I’ve been making this crab dip for 35 years and my family still demands it. I’ve tried other crap dips - hot, cold, fancier. Nope. This is what we always go back to. Try is and let me know what you think. Quick and easy to put together, not a lot of ingredients. But a warning. It goes fast! Buy plenty of crackers. #crabdip #easy #appetizer #party #holiday
MY FAMILY’S FAVORITE CRAB DIP
2 (8-ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 ½ teaspoons Worstershire sauce
1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice
1 ½ tablespoons onion, grated (You can fine mince if your prefer)
About 12 ounces lump crab meat (*See Note)
1 bottle cocktail sauce
Mix all of the ingredients together except the crab meat and the cocktail sauce.
Spread the cream cheese mixture in a shallow bowl. Top with the crab meat. Spread cocktail sauce over the crab meat and serve with assorted crackers.
*NOTE: You can use any variety of crab meat that you prefer – even the imitation. I usually get canned lump crab and use two cans.
