How to Clone Wild Mushrooms - Shaggy Mane

Описание: I found these good Coprinus Comatus, or Shaggy Mane species and I just had to get a clone from them!

Cloning a wild mushroom onto agar can be a very simple process. If you find a mushroom you like, or would like to revive the mycelium for a strain you have been growing, there are some easy steps to achieve a new clone.

1. First you locate the mushroom you want to clone.
2. prepare your work area, and make sure you have two agar petri dishes ready to go, these will need to be sterile.
3. In front on your flow hood, rip the mushroom open to expose the sterile inner flesh. This can be done in the stem and in the cap. Do not sure a scalpel to cut the mushroom top, you will force contamination into the mushroom as the scalpel blade cuts past the outer flesh.
4. with a sterile scalpel cut out an inner piece of mycelium and place it onto the sterile agar dish.
5. Close the dish, seal it with parafilm, and wait!

Done correctly you can clone most mushroom varieties this way. The cone will be a monoculture of the mushroom you chose.
