Water-themed classical music comprises some of the most captivating yet difficult repertoire in the 18th and 19th centuries, driven by impressionist riffs, cascades, and dissonant harmonies. We combined Liszt’s Jeux d'eau à la Villa d'Este (Fountains of the Village d’Este) and Debussy’s Reflets dans l'eau (Reflections in the Water). The tone of the pieces speak greatly to their theme, bringing gorgeous melodies reminiscent of splashes of water and shimmering lakesides to the ear. Enjoy this rich exploration of a unique thematic genre of classical repertoire.
