Mason Classical Academy offers students a classical education that learns from the past, so students are filled with the knowledge they need to face present and future challenges. Mason students read the epic poems of Homer, learn history from Herodotus, philosophy from Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle. They study world wars, learn about the battles of Napoleon, and read Shakespeare each year.

Learning from these great figures and events in history enriches Mason students with a depth of knowledge that is unique to a classical education. In their senior year, Mason students are given a chance to see the places they have read about by exploring Europe. This opportunity is an integral part of their high school experience and, as a public school, should be at little to no cost to the student.

Mason Classical Academy is looking for your help to send the seniors on this capstone trip to Europe by asking you to sponsor a student as they participate in Mason Classical Academy's 3rd Annual Homer-A-Thon.

The Homer-A-Thon will take place at Mason Classical Academy's Upper School and students will take turns reading Homer's Odyssey in its entirety. Beginning at 7:00 PM on Friday and read through completion sometime mid-Saturday morning.

Your pledge will help send the seniors on a trip that will bring to life the words they have been reading throughout their education at Mason Classical Academy.
