THE BEING

The somber glow of autumn kissed the sky
And bled across the fading green hillside.
The children tended dreams of innocence
As heaven blazed in fiery descent.

Surviving light that led them to the site
Submitted to immortal will of night.
The warmth had fled from curiosity
And chilled the air with presence of The Being.

Was it a star born visitor or just the imagination?
