This Chair Chat examines the alarming rise of antisemitism in the United States and the forces driving its resurgence across ideological lines. Drawing on data, historical context, and lived experience, the conversation explores antisemitism as a conspiracy-driven form of hatred, the role of misinformation and polarization, and why traditional assumptions about progress and tolerance no longer hold. The discussion also considers the legal, civic, and educational tools necessary to respond effectively and protect religious freedom, civil rights, and the rule of law.
Laura Shaw Frank – Vice President, Center for Education Advocacy, American Jewish Committee (AJC )
Mark I. Schickman (Moderator) – Co-Chair, ABA Task Force to Combat Antisemitism; Past Chair, ABA Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice
