Sicilian born and London adopted singer-songwriter Alba Plano is an eclectic and versatile artist. Her sound has a modern twist with a mix of Jazz, Neo-Soul and multiethnic influences from her homeland. Stylistically comparable to Erykah Badu, Lianne La Havas and Corinne Bailey Rae, she draws influence from a wide array of artists, including Nai Palm, Laura Mvula, Esperanza Spalding and Jill Scott.
Alba has performed backing vocals for Ninja Tune’s Jordan Rakei, as well as fronted “Forever Amy”, a project featuring Amy Winehouse’s original band, that has given her the opportunity to tour and perform in large venues - honing her stagecraft and interpretive skills.
In 2018 she released her debut EP “White Lotus”, which was co-produced and co-written by Karme Caruso and featured on BBC Radio 1xtra, BBC Radio 6, Jazz FM and many others.
Alba has recently completed a sell out European tour on the back of her debut EP which featured some of the most talented artists of the UK and Italian Jazz and Neo-Soul scene: Karl Rasheed-Abel, Blue Lab Beats, Luca Faraone, Julian Mazzariello, Dario Deidda, Jim McCrae and many others.

She has previously collaborated with accomplished musicians such as: Karl Rasheed Abel (Producer, bass player for Laura Mvula, Soweto Kinch, Christine and the Queens, Ashley Henry); Jim Hunt (sax for Amy Winehouse, Richard Ashcroft, Brand New Heavies, Noel Gallagher, Jamiroquai); Troy Miller (drummer and producer for Gregory Porter, Rag’n’Bone Man, Becca Stevens, Laura Mvula and many others); Mike Gorman (keyboard player for Boy George, Incognito); Sam Crowe (pianist for The Cinematic Orchestra, Rosie Lowe, FATIMA (Eglo), Goldie, Mark Guiliana, Lianne La Havas, Jordan Rakei, producer and pianist for Native Dancer),…
Alba is currently working on her new album and collaborating with producer Karl Rasheed Abel and Yasmine Hendrix on her new single named ‘Pages’.
The track has been recorded in London with Karl Rasheed Abel on bass, Sam Crowe on piano and keys and Saleem Raman on drums.
