A few weeks ago my girlfriend and I took a road trip up the east coast of New South Wales to Byron Bay. On the second night we were gifted with one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen, I nailed the landscape photography of the sunset, easily making my top 10 list.....upon reviewing the video I was super disappointed with my efforts....... It would have been so easy to have captured a perfect sunset video shot however.........all my settings were wrong, I didn't check them before flying and well, my footage has some horrible flickering baked into it. Not to worry, you learn from your mistakes right!! I'll never shoot video in Aperture mode again!! Manual mode is the way forward!!

SUMMARY - trying to shoot a dynamic drone shot where the brightness changes from dark to bright or visa versa, you really need to shoot in Manual mode to avoid flickering in your clip.
Another way would be to use your Exposure lock button, basically you need to expose for the absolute brightest part of your shot before recording. That way when your clip changes from dark to super bright, all your highlights will be correctly exposed, and you won't have any flickering in your clip, happy days!!
