Respected Madam/Sir,
I recently visited Bilaspur after ten years .
1. ‘Hamar’ Bilaspur is a masterstroke f to welcome to Bilaspur.
2. The roads have been widened and kept clean.
3. There is no din and bustle in the city of Bilaspur of Bilasa.
4. People in general speak soft and low.
5. Perhaps 50% of the Bill Boards are written in English.
6. The Auto-Ricksaw drivers are well behaved.
7. Even the fishermen in Sanichari Fish Bazar transact in low decibel unlike the fish markets of other cities of India, more so of West Bengal.
8. Bilasa Dai( Mother), stands grand in Bilasa Chowk-overlooking the River Arpa
9. As one comes out of Bilaspur Junction Platform, on the right side there is a big terracotta mural where Bilasa Dai stands gorgeous and prominent.
10. An Art work of Bilasa in the entrance of Ticket Counter Oslapur Station is beautiful and graceful.
11. No one can ignore a board- prominently written ‘ Bilasa Savaghar’ along with other displays, as one enters Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya.
12. Who can ignore ‘GOVT.BILASA GIRLS’ P.G.COLLEGE’ in Ambedkar Nagar?
13. Bilasa also seen as the name of ‘ Bilasa Institute of Nursing Bilaspur.
14. Bilasa appears to be grand in Bilasa Taal Vasundhara Udyan.
15. There is a small but sacred shrine of Bilasa at Pachrighat on the bank of Arpa River.
16. A Packaged water bottle displays ,’Bilasa- Life in a Bottle.’ Even the website of the company is-www.bilasawater.com
17. The name of the airport of Bilaspur is : ‘ BLASADEVIKEVAT AIPORT BILASPUR’.
Therefore one can say proudly, Bilasa –the Mother (Dai) founder of Bilasa is remembered with honour and devotion.
