When the flight is approaching at Kinmen Airport, we can see the Xiamen Island (廈門島) in mainland China from the window on the left side of the cabin. Now, there are many buildings in Xiamen, which will make it easier for passengers to identify on the plane.

As we were preparing to land on Runway 06 at Kinmen Airport, we could see a very long bridge being built over the sea. The length of this bridge is 5.4 km and named Kinmen Bridge (金門大橋). It starts in Jinning Township (金寧鄉) and ends in Lieyu Township (烈嶼鄉). The bridge on the sea and connects between the Kinmen (大金門) and Lesser Kinmen (小金門), it eliminating the need to rely on ships to travel between the two islands now.
