A House Foreign Affairs subcommittee held a hearing to examine international child abduction. Subcommittee members heard from three parents whose children, all U.S. citizens, had been abducted to Japan, Ecuador and Lebanon. The parents told the stories of their children’s abductions and detailed the steps they’d taken in the hopes their children would be returned to them in the United States.
