Note on custom timings: I got an email back from magewell about this right as I was finishing up the video which is why it's not in the video all the way.
While on linux the mwcap-control commands for custom timings SEEM to work (I have no idea how to actually create timings), the timings tab from the manual isn't actually there in the windows app.
I got an email from a magewell representative where it seemed that this was normal (they said it only shows up on VGA), but I emailed them back with the screenshot from the manual but haven't gotten a response yet.

Edit: So it seems only cards with DVI ports have custom timings available. (Magewell cards with DVI-I ports input component from that port) So the Magewell pro capture hdmi doesn't have custom timings available :\
