Defender 90 GTB550, Alive Comfort Suspension and a new gearbox install - Part 1

Описание: Our second GTB550 install video, onto a 2006 Land Rover Defender Td5 90, and boy did this one make us work for it!

Presented to us as a totaly stock (except the cool AF deep dish wheels!), 2006 Td5 90, we were tasked with installing our awesone #eibach fast road comfort suspension kit, with our brilliant custom made #bilstein dampers, and a top notch #winchestergears R380 manual gearbox, assembled with a taller (V8) fifth gear.

We installed our uprated cylinder head stud & nut kit, to complement our ferocious GTB550 VNT turbo and to ensure reliability against future head gasket failure for a very long time to come! Our Alive stainless steel sports exchaust was also installed, to (quite literally) help get the juices flowing, without being ASBO loud.

This, Part 1 video, shows the initial health check and dyno results from this 90, as well as the installation of the suspension, Intercooler, Silicone hoses, stainless steel exhaust, and of course our GTB550 turbo.

Part 2 will be posted next week, on Christmas Eve, which will detail the engine setup, on and off the dyno.
