gas stove.

No oven, no tandoor – yet you’ll get the same traditional smoky and rustic Bihar-style taste at home.

This litti is perfectly cooked, crispy outside and soft inside, stuffed with flavourful sattu masala.
Paired with classic baingan Allu chokha and tamatar dhaniya chutney this recipe brings real village-style flavours to
your kitchen.

INGREDIENTS USED:

For chokha

✅ Baigan 1
✅ boiled potatoes 3
✅ tomatoes 3
✅ chopped onions 1
✅ chopped ginger 1/2 teaspoons
✅ chopped green chilli 1 teaspoon
✅ black salt 1 teaspoon
✅ mustard oil 1 tablespoon
✅ lime juice 1 tablespoon

For chutney

✅ tomatoes 2
✅ coriander leaves
✅ green chilies 3
✅ garlic cloves 3
✅ black salt 1/2 teaspoon

Sattu masala

✅ Sattu 1 and a 1/2 cup
✅ chopped onions 1
✅ chopped green chilies 4
✅ pickle masala 1 tablespoon
✅ salt
✅ chopped coriander leaves
✅ mustard oil 2 tablespoons
✅ mangrela 1 teaspoon
✅ ajwain 1 teaspoon

Litti dough

✅ wheat flour 2 cups
✅ Kalingi 1 teaspoon
✅ ajwain 1 teaspoon
✅ salt 1/2 tablespoon
✅ desi ghee 4 tablespoons

✅ desi ghee 1 cup
