The Brush Off was written for the Percussion Pops Orchestra to feature legendary drummer Joe Morello. This very cool Mike Simpson composition was originally titled "Go Joe" before band leader Dick Schory changed the title to "The Brush Off" for the PPO album Supercussion.
Arranged for percussion ensemble by Schory biographer Dan Moore, The Brush Off was performed by Iowa Percussion and Guest soloist Dr. Michael D'Angelo.
