Adrian Montaño on the 140-foot "Bury a Friend" (5.13 R) on the East Face of Rap Rock. Sharing a start with the Ed Drummond 1984 route "Beat the Drummond Slowly" (5.12 A0) this route starts up a poorly protected section of face climbing and then takes a direct path straight up a steep dihedral previously traversed around. The upper crux is shared with Drummond's route though it was originally aided, and now goes free, depositing you into some of the steepest gear climbing on the mountain. Where the original route follows an easy groove to the summit, this modern line escapes out left onto the face for one last boulder problem to a chickenhead-littered topout.
