Описание: As of April 21st, 2025, the MTA Metro-North Railroad's Breakneck Ridge station is closed forever. For three years, the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail will undergo construction, and the hiking trails at Breakneck Ridge will also be closed for repair renovation. During this time, a new high level Breakneck Ridge station platform will be constructed for hikers. I took a trip up to the Hudson Line to visit the original station one final time. The station has come a small way from the original single low level platform. A second low level platform added in both directions, along with safety fencing and anti-trespassing devices added to reduce trespasser strikes in the area. The continuous horn blasting by southbound trains (by rule for safety due to the high speeds and influx of trespassers) will be no more when the new station is complete.
