Située dans le quartier animé de Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, cette station accueille les voyageurs depuis le 29 juin 1982. Autrefois l'extrémité ouest de la ligne orange, elle servait de point de correspondance clé avant la construction de la ligne La station Plamondon a été prolongée jusqu'à la rue Du Collège en 1984.
