Описание: Zuzana Čaputová, President of the Republic of Slovak, addresses the general debate of the 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 20-26 September 2022).

President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová told the General Assembly, “we must choose international rules-based order over the power of gun. We must urgently deliver on our climate goals and find working rules for social media platforms to protect our societies and international order.”

Delivering her speech at the General Assembly high-level debate today (20 Sep) in New York, President Čaputová told the world leaders, “despite the current energy crisis, Slovakia stops using coal as a source of energy next year,” adding that her country is investing in renewables and launching a retrofitting program for buildings to boost energy efficiency.

She reiterated, “we can only do this together globally and in solidarity with each other. We need all big economies to join and help those who need it.”
