Many of my viewers had requested that I create a structured video series explaining technological concepts end-to-end. To honor that request, I am starting a new educational series on Satellite Communication Systems.
This first module is titled:
Foundations of Satellite Systems
In this introductory module we explore:
• Why communication satellites are needed
• Why terrestrial mobile networks cannot provide global coverage
• How satellite systems evolved from GEO to MEO to LEO
• Advantages and trade-offs between these orbital systems
• Why orbital slots and spectrum must be coordinated globally
