Remember, the GT-1 is connected to the Boss IR-2 effects loop and handles only modulation, delay, reverb, noise suppressor, tuner, and volume pedal on the expression pedal. Therefore, the wah, compressor, overdrive, and distortions of the GT-1 are positioned after the IR-2 Preamp/Cab. The compressor can be used sparingly, but the overdrive/distortions cannot. This function falls to the IR-2 and external OD/DS/FZ pedals. The wah will depend on your personal taste as GT-1's wah comes after the IR-2. I prefer using an external wah pedal as the first pedal.

I've recorded directly to PC using my IR-2 as a USB Audio Device. No post-production work. What you hear is what comes from IR2.
