So the story of THIS part:
Kiara, who has now escaped, fled to another town. She looks out to the sea thinking of the "story" that she cannot tell. So she decides to write it on a piece of paper and put in a bottle and send it out to sea.
Then we see her "memories" where Kovu's always doing stuff for her even though they were troublesome. She sees herself yelling at Kovu and how he had been holding in the pain. She knows that he was the only one that would listen but he's no longer there.
In the end, she says "If we could be reborn...Then I'd want to be with you again. If only..."
