At least one person has died and multiple people injured in shooting attacks across six locations in Vienna.
A major police operation is underway and people have been told to stay away from the scene and from public transport.
A heavy police presence is now in the Austrian capital after attacks were perpetrated near a synagogue and restaurant, with reports also emerging suggesting Jewish residents have been told not to leave their homes.
The Austrian Interior Ministry released a statement indicating the attacks are terror related.
It has been confirmed one officer is among the injured and one of the perpetrators was shot and killed.
