In 2018 we set off on a two year trip around the world. Our first 6 months were spent volunteering in the Norwegian Arctic and this video is all about our two months living at the end of a jetty and experiencing the joy of winter in a place where the sun barely rises above the horizon. When we weren't working we were exploring the local area; hiking, paddle boarding, boat trips and of course gawping at the Northern Lights.
ABOUT US
Craig and I (Lauren) are both in our 30's and come from South East England. We've been together for 13 years and 12 of them have been spent exploring the world together. We live a simple life, backpacking on a budget around Asia, Latin America etc and then we convert vans in tiny homes to travel the more expensive areas of the world like North America, Australia etc.
So far we've travelled to 70 countries, owned 7 campervans and I'm proud to say I'm still using my original backpack from 2008! We fund our travels by working in restaurants for 6 months and that gives us enough money to backpack, live in vans and volunteer for 1 - 2 years.
